Hey everyone, I hope you all are enjoying Through Darkness They Will Come, currently I am working on part 2 of Wrens story. We are about 8k words into it and gaining momentum as the story progresses and unfolds in my mind. I hope you are excited about this because I am loving this part of the story and how it's all coming together. I want to give you a little peak at a random part of the story so far.
Captain Brishard was an older Captain then most of his peers, he was a Staff Sergent prior to transitioning over to officer. A traitor to the enlisted men as most would put it but it was all in good fun, since the beginning of the time there has always been a friendly war between Officer and Enlisted men, but it hardly ever went outside of that, jokes were made between the two groups but in the end when it was time to work everyone mostly stayed in their lanes. Due to him being prior Enlisted he had a unique perspective on how to operate and navigate the military and because of that he was well on his way to making Major in record time, and due to his experience is how he landed this job detail and it was been one of the most difficult and rewarding experiences of his life, being more or less second in command to a Major General was relatively unheard of but special jobs call for special circumstances and he was a product of that. Taking his position in front of the monitors just as Kasen had he asked for an update on Oscar Team, the report was standard the last known location of Oscar Team was they were entering the building to obtain an unknown item from a group of people that they didn’t know only that they have constructed buildings in a random part of the Amazon unbeknownst to anyone. So far, they have met very little resistance and for all these people knew they weren’t even there. “Keep me updated on everything no matter how small.” The team around him all said yes sir and went back to work. While it may seem a little hardnosed this is why he was so good at what he did, details were everything in the military and making concise decisions as quickly as possible in any event could be the difference between a warm home coming or being carried by six. At this point everyone on the team understood his position and the way he operated and didn’t seem to mind his need for information and acted accordingly.
